Quit Smoking
is a widget app that helps you gradually to cut down amount on daily smoked cigarettes and decrease your dependency on tobacco
in the period when you decided to quit but before you actually quit.
Each individual's
step-down program is calculated based on statistical data from users, and it's
continuously adjusted to your specific smoking pattern. When you get the urge to smoke, you hit the
red “smoke” button. The app then asks you what your urge and stress level are,
asks if you can wait, and logs the event. It also tracks your daily smoking
quota. It’s a different approach than QuitNow! and it might work better for
those who can’t quit cold turkey.
Quit Smoking is an easy-to-use application for mobile phone
based on Android (1.6 and higher). Application supports the Russian, English,
German, French, Spanish, Chinese languages. This app consists of three types
of widgets – Standard, Tiny and Statistic.
This Standard widget interface
is recommended at the initial stage of app’s using. It displays the most
relevant information that the smokers need to know:
- A graph which shows the number of
cigarettes smoked for the current day.
- The recommended limit of cigarettes per
day.
- Time elapsed since last smoking.
The Tiny widget
interface is an option for persons who have been using the widget Standard for
a long time and wanted to save place on the phone screen. The widget is a small
size button which is located on the phone screen:
- The button displays: daily limit of
cigarettes, the number of cigarettes smoked and time elapsed since last
smoked cigarette
- The absence of smoking graph is the main
difference between this widget and Standard. If you decided to look at
your graph, you can do that in the application.
- When smokers want to smoke Tiny gives them
the opportunity to click on the widget itself instead of the button Smoke.
